Stamna (Pitcher)
Stamna (pitcher), 12th century. Found in a rock cistern at Vori in Heraklion Prefecture. It resembles the following vessel. It has a wide, open neck and rim, with fine lines covering the whole body. This is a Cretan copy of an Aegean form widespread throughout the Mediterranean and even as far as Russia.
Stamni (pitcher), 12th century. Same provenance as the above, but the neck is short with a protruding rim. It resembles the Laina from Nohia (26).
Flaski. Lenticular flask of the Thrapsano type, similar to Minoan flasks. Capacity 2-5 litres.
Flaski. Lenticular flask of the Margarites type, with incised daisies on the front.
Flaski. Flask of the Margarites type with a flat back. Slip decoration.
Mouzouraki. A small household jug with a capacity of 1,200 gr. for drawing oil from the pithos.
Stamnostatis (potstand). Circular ceramic object used as a base for round-bottomed pots.
