Lekanidi (small basin). Also known as a lekanida, mosora, mosoraki or gavathaki. This is the smallest Cretan single-handled basin, for use in the kitchen.
Lekani (basin). Larger than the above, with two handles and a decoration of wavy lines. Various uses.
Lekani (basin). A large type found across Crete, known by many other names. One single and one double handle.
Lekani (basin). The largest type of Cretan basin, also known as a zymostra, loustra, saliera or mosora. Two double handles and wavy decoration incised with a fine comb. Mainly used for kneading dough.
Leaded lekanidi (small basin). Imported form with interior glaze and white slip decoration. Various uses in the kitchen and at table.
